Summer is my favorite season and every year I would feel sad as when it ended until I decided to create a program to support myself and my clients called 7 Mindful Days to adapt to the change of season in a way that feeds our mind, body and spirit. As Leaders we have to lead ourselves first so we can continue being of wonderful service to our tribe.
It is time for one season of life to end and another to begin. A time for letting go as the trees let go of their leaves. An opportunity to create some time and space in our lives as we prepare for a new cycle.
In the Native American Culture Fall is seen as a time of organization, of gathering in – not only the fruits of the harvest but also of our inner resources.
The change in season is also an energetic change. Being mindful during this time helps us to be in tune with Nature and help balance our own energy in preparation for the colder months.
Here are 3 Tips to celebrate the abundance of this season and harvesting ALL that the Universe has waiting for you so you become an Abundant Leader.
Fall Food
Fall is the traditional harvest season. It is the time to enjoy the bounty of seasonal fruits and vegetables. They are grounding and centering and help balance your body. Choose from the lists below or find other produce local to your area.
Fall Vegetables: beets, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, celery, garlic, kale, mustard greens, parsley, spinach, cauliflower, onion, swiss chard, squash, sweet potatoes
Fall Fruits: apples, pears, grapes, raspberries, blackberries, figs
Fall detox
Fall is also a great time for a detox. Choose one method from the below and incorporate one of the following to support your detox.
They all help to clean and clear out toxins and make you feel happier and more vibrant.
- A salt bath (Use 1 cup of epsom, himalayan or dead sea salt) with 5 drops of lavender essential oil for its calming effect and 3 drops ginger for its warming effect.
- Drinking more water
- A sauna session
- Dry skin brushing
Thanksgiving
Fall is the season we celebrate Thanksgiving to give gratitude for the abundance of harvest. It’s also a great time to give thanks for all that you appreciate in your life. Research shows that grateful people are happier and Leaders know that what you give thanks for multiplies and allows for the circulation of more abundance. Think of some ways you can show appreciation in the following areas and express it for more Happiness in your Life and Business.
- Your body
- Your clients
- Your health
- Your relationships
- Your finances
Fall is the ideal time to release what is not serving you anymore. It is a great time to become more mindful and set your intentions of where you want your life and business to be when winter comes. Take the time to nurture your body, mind and spirit. The more we give to ourselves, the more we can give to others. And that is what Abundant Leaders love to do the most!

I love this post. Summer is my favorite time of year as well (and spring because it means summer’s coming) and I kind of have the attitude of “I’ll have to just get through winter.” I don’t like fall because it means winter is coming, so your post is helpful for changing my perspective!
