Page 108. He was the son of Matthew Taylor and Janet (?).
He married Elizabeth Archibald in 1750 in New Hampshire.
He with others including his brothers-in-law, the Archibalds, arrived at Fort Belcher on 13 Dec. 1762. He was one of the Grantees of Truro Township.
He died on 22 Jan. 1796 at the home of Mr. David Dickey, on the Halifax road, when he was on his way to Halifax and was buried at Robie Street Cemetery, Truro, Colchester County, Nova Scotia, Canada. Elizabeth was born in 1726 in New Hampshire to John Archibald and Margaret Wilson. She married Matthew Taylor Sr. in 1750 at New Hampshire. Elizabeth and Matthew had 11 children (see children below). She died in St. Mary's, Guysborough, Nova Scotia at age 83. She was buried on a small island in the lake up the East River of St. Mary's Nova Scotia.
