Margaret was born in 1759 to Samuel Archibald and Eleanor Taylor. She first married David Nelson and 1775-1788 then married Jeremiah Murphy in 1789. She died in 1794 at Truro. (see children below). Margaret was the Mother of 8 children.

Circa 1803, he married Margaret the daughter of John and Alice Moore Archibald of Musquodoboit, Nova Scotia, and they had children. According to Thomas Miller's History of Colchester County[https://archive.org/details/cihm_11106 Historical and genealogical record of the first settlers of Colchester county down to the present time] by Miller, Thomas, Published 1873, page 49, they had five sons and three daughters, but he doesn't list them.
