John Archibald was one of a group of Presbyterian settlers for the American colonies who left in a fleet of five ships from Londonderry, Ulster, Ireland for Boston in 1718. He was amongst those Proprietors who first took up land in Nutfield, Massachusetts, later to become Londonderry, New Hampshire.
