== Biography ==Thomas was born in 1798 to Thomas John Wayling and Ann Clark in Wisbech, Cabridgeshire, England. He had 8 siblings.
When he was 22 years old he married Acres Woods and they had 6 children. Unfortunately, four of those children died before they were 2 years old. Their mother also lost her own mother during that time. She died a few years later, when she was 36.
Thomas remarried in 1839 to Jane Goodale. They had 9 children and when he was about 55 the family moved from England to the United States where he purchased a plot of land in Peotone, Will, Illinois. He lived there until he was 73 when he passed away in 1871.
