I know. That title makes me sound bonkers.
But the truth is, I don’t believe I have any business “building my list” or growing the number of members in my online community. Why?
Because I’m not doing a great job serving the people who have already raised their hand to hear from me.
I don’t have an automation series in place that helps introduce new members to everything that’s available to them.
I don’t have great follow up series for people who have purchased my digital products.
Until my systems are more streamlined, and sales funnels make sense, it makes no sense to focus on the other parts.
It’s sort of like throwing money at a problem, when you don’t know what the problem actually is.
Or….
Like buying new clothes every day, hoping you’ll find something that looks great on you – but wait to try them on next month…
It’s simply not smart.
So, between now & then (whenever then is) you’ll find me:
- streamlining my systems
- testing out new software
- consulting with IT specialists
- talking about what I’m learning
- making at least a few bloopers while trying to communicate with people.
What you won’t see is a lot of:
- guest blog posts
- JV promotions
- webinars
- live events
- or Facebook ads
by the way… the list above are all really great ways to build your list, if you haven’t tried them already.
Some of the tools I’m using during this transition are:
- activecampaign
- coschedule
- mixpanel
- Woocommerce
- Groups for Woocommerce
Have you stopped something in your business while you sort out something else that’s broken? I’d love to hear what you’re working on.. let me know in the comments below.
Loralee,
Congratulations for taking a step back and get the frame of your business in place. I am in the process of re-branding my business to be inline with the vision God has placed in my heart. This journey has resulted in me looking at the systems I have in place as well as the message I want to communicate to the world. Best of luck in your journey and I look forward to reading about it.
Wishing you productivity and prosperity,
Kim
Thank you Kim! And best of luck to you too! Re-branding can be an incredible experience. Although I’m starting to wonder if it’s really just a continuous evolution/change that takes place over time. Have you had a chance to skim through my “rebrand as ME” course in the members area? I can send you the link
